The Beginning

Here are some of my first "treasures" found at some local estate sales - thanks to Kelly for introducing me to a whole new world...

An Amazing Carafe
The sweetest Cream and Sugar set
I am in LOVE with this! I adore the art of crochet.... - I will use this in Lexie's room! It already matches her bedding!
These were my first purchases - I am now learning more about Silver and it's heritage...

I have found that researching blogs can become addicting... in a good way. I have seen some of the most creative, fun, and inspirational blogs in the last week. These images, words, and ideas are in part, accredited to my new dream - turning something old... into something new. Here are a few of the projects I am going to attempt...

Isn't this the most adorable, super creative and fun play kitchen?!? I cannot wait to make this for Lexie. Oh, how she will love it! This will probably take some time finding all the supplies. I hope to make this for under $25. Let's see how I do!

Next, I want to make these bookshelves. I originally found the idea in a magazine, can't find the link yet, but check out these super creative ideas!!

I can't wait to get these projects underway... Friday will be my hunting day to begin finding the supplies. The books should be fairly easy, a Goodwill find or an Estate Sale. The kitchen set might be a bit tricky... finding the perfect end table (at a price I will pay!) and the accessories that go with (again at a price I will pay!).
Wish me luck!

New. Momentum. Excitement.

I have found something new. Something that drives me. Something that gives me a sense of creativity that I have yet to experience. Something that makes me... happy :).

It's the art of.... something old. And I want to accomlish that art. Let's see how I do.
