Wall Art

I was inspired by my amazing friend
to create this fun project :)
I originally set out to make a pair for Lexie's room, but ended up liking this one for our study/drum room.
(sorry for the lighting - took this in the afternoon when the natural light in the room wasn't the best)
Here is how I did it....

Step 1: Canvas (I bought mine at Michaels during a 40% off sale!)
Step 2: Adhesive (I chose spray adhesive)

Step 3: 1st layer of paper cut to size

Step 4: Add additional layers

Step 5: Final touches (I used a Cricut machine to print the tag and letters)
Step 6: Add Hanger (I chose twine, but you could easily use ribbon) - secured with hot glue
The Final Result:
This one will (obviously) go into little Miss. Lexie's room (initials A.R.W. for Alexandria Rose)

Kitchen Stools

One of my current hunts is to find some new (or old) bar stools for my kitchen counter. The kids absolutely love sitting on stools, so I am looking to find 3.

Naturally, I wish I could run out and purchase some stools immediately, but in order to find exactly what I am looking for (and in my price range), I need to be patient.

Who knows? Maybe they will just fall right into my lap...

Check out some of these lovelies -

Inspiring...

I LOVE this Blog and I LOVE this shower! One of my favorite ideas is the twine/clothespin/bookpage name banner. I am so going to copy this, however, I plan to tweak slightly :). I will use the twine and clothespins, but instead of just normal pages ripped out of a book, I will choose my pages from Children's story books. I also am looking to use a Cricut machine and print the letters on paper, but if I get brave enough, I may take on the project of fabric letters - an idea from the amazing Carey at http://www.withjoycarey.blogspot.com/.

Baby Shower & 3rd Birthday

BLOGGING BLOGGING BLOGGING! It has become my life lately! Especially because I am planning both a Baby Shower AND a 3rd Birthday party - both for very sweet ladies in my life. I have become slightly obsessed with this new world - it has both motivated me and inspired me - helping me to discover the creative side that is hiding deep, deep inside. I have always said I am not creative, but that I can take someone else's creative ideas and implement them. Well, I have now stepped out of that comfort zone and began taking steps at being creative in my own sense. How am I doing? Well, if it's not that well - don't tell me ;).

I am planning a Vintage Tea Party Baby Shower for a dear friend of mine, Mrs. Julianna, as we celebrate the soon-to-be Gabriella Marie. We'll celebrate with tea, brunch and gifts and I am taking bits and pieces from about 102 BLOGS and also a few of my own creations/ideas.

My dear Alexandria Rose will be 3 in just 2 short months, so the ideas I have been thinking about since before her 2nd birthday are now going into affect. We'll celebrate with a Candy Land theme - can you say sweet tooth?

I will keep you posted as the days go on...

Love,
E
